Position Summary
The Senior Tax Analyst - Transfer Pricing & Tax Planning will play a critical role in managing the company's transfer pricing policies and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations while helping the company implement an efficient global supply chain. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing & Tax Planning, this position will be responsible for the analysis, documentation, and implementation of transfer pricing and international tax strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of transfer pricing principles, international tax laws, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic tax department of a rapidly growing technology company with 8B+ in revenue.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's global transfer pricing policies and documentation in compliance with US and international regulations (e.g., OECD guidelines).
- Assist with tax planning initiatives related to international operations and transfer pricing.
- Perform economic analyses to support transfer pricing methodologies, including financial modeling and industry research.
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files, and country-by-country reports.
- Monitor changes in transfer pricing and international tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, legal, operations) to implement new strategies, gather information, and ensure consistent application of transfer pricing policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures.
- Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process including appropriate application of intercompany policies and FIN 48 analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in transfer pricing and international tax, preferably within a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of US transfer pricing regulations (Section 482) and OECD guidelines.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts such as FDII, foreign tax credits, BEPS initiatives, and tax treaties.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
