Are you ready to take charge of daily financial operations while managing key accounting functions? Our client S&G Global Holdings located in Irvine, California, is seeking a hands-on CONTROLLER to oversee core accounting functions such as managing payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring smooth month-end closings.
This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial systems and ensuring compliance while directly performing accounting tasks such as reconciliations, analyzing financial data to identify root causes of issues, and implementing strategic improvements. You will also delegate responsibilities to a dedicated accounting team while remaining closely involved in the day-to-day financial operations. Additionally, you will present detailed financial insights at board meetings, handle board of equalization taxes, manage relationships with external vendors and professional service providers, and oversee all insurance plans (workers compensation, liability, etc.) and the employee benefit and insurance programs to ensure they remain competitive and compliant.
Qualifications include bachelors degree in accounting or finance, and at least 5 years of direct senior-level accounting or finance experience. Experience in establishing efficient accounting practices in the manufacturing or printing industry is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, be self-motivated and have the capability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and computer skills are essential with technical experience in QuickBooks and Excel.
