Were looking for a Bilingual Bookkeeper (Spanish) to support the day-to-day financial operations of a passionate, mission-driven nonprofit in Downtown LA. This organization is dedicated to tenant rights and housing justice, and they need someone dependable and detail-oriented to help keep their finances on track.

What Youll Be Doing:

Maintain up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and journal entries
Assist with preparation and submission of tax filings, including 1099s and nonprofit compliance documents
Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
Monitor spending and track expenses across multiple grants and funding sources
Assist with payroll preparation and benefits tracking
Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reports
Work with program managers to ensure accurate grant spending and reporting
Coordinate with outside accountants for audits and financial reviews
Help maintain compliance with local, state, and federal nonprofit financial regulations

What Were Looking For:

23 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting (nonprofit experience preferred but not required)
Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Familiarity with grant tracking or fund accounting is a plus
