Controller for PE-Backed Equipment Lending Startup

Our client is a newly launched private equity-backed commercial equipment lender looking for a sharp, systems-savvy Controller to build scalable processes and lead a growing team. If you have a strong background in lease or loan accounting and thrive in high-growth environments, we want to hear from you.

Salary: $150K–$210K base + 30% bonus
Location: Westlake, OH (Minimum 4 days onsite)

What You’ll Bring:

• 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, with some leadership and FP&A exposure.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 842, residual value accounting, interest income recognition, and loan amortization.
• Experience building or revamping scalable accounting processes in a startup, PE-backed, or entrepreneurial environment.
• Systems proficiency – ideally with InfoLease or similar loan/lease management platforms.
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
