EPC Project Cost Analyst

An EPC Project Cost Analyst is needed for a world class utility company in the New Albany, OH area. This role involves coordinating project cost analysis and controls, supporting project managers in budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate cost reporting and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project meetings and collaborate with team members on project activities.

  • Support Project Managers (PMs) in preparing and updating project documentation and planning.

  • Prepare forecasts of project spending and cash flows, monitor budget variances and perform cost tracking and analysis.

  • Provide analysis and verification for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) activities, assist in annual budget input, capital forecasts, five-year plans, and improvement requisitions.

  • Perform estimate versus actuals analysis to assess project performance.

  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to perform variance reporting and establish original baseline budgets aligned with project schedules.

  • Track, analyze, and verify information for unvouchered liabilities (UVLs), maintain current and complete project system records.

  • Coordinate the work order process from creation through in-servicing and closing.

  • Assist in the contracting process, including bidding activities, cost analysis, and cost tracking.

  • Communicate with project teams, resources, and stakeholders on budgetary items, supply information and seek assistance as necessary.
Education and Experience:

Proj Cost Analyst Associate:

  • With a qualified Bachelor's degree, experience is preferred but not necessary.

  • With a qualified Associate's degree, one (1) year qualified experience.
Proj Cost Analyst Max:

  • With a qualified Bachelor's degree, one (1) year of qualified experience.

  • With a qualified Associate's degree, three (3) years' qualified experience.

  • Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Business, Construction Management, or Project Management.

  • Qualified experience includes utility specific operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures.

  • Experience should be in operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, working with some accounting principles.
