Senior Accountant

The Tyndale Company, an 8x Top Workplace winner in PA/4x Top Workplace winner in TX and certified woman-owned business, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting inventory accounting processes critical to manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, manufacturing cost structures, and ERP systems, with a proactive approach to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County).

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial data across all accounts.
• Analyze and monitor standard and actual costs for manufacturing operations; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to evaluate cost drivers, inventory levels, and production performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting and reporting functions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate policies.
• Train and mentor accounting staff as needed.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
