Accounts Receivable Clerk Job Description The Accounts Receivable Clerk is tasked with processing financial transactions accurately and timely to support reporting deadlines. This role operates on-site in Branford, CT, from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial stability of the organization. The position reports directly to the Controller. Responsibilities Process credit applications and supporting documentation. Generate invoices and process credit card payments. Manage customer records within accounting systems. Apply cash receipts and assist with bank reconciliations. Conduct collections activities and communicate credit-related issues. Maintain tracking spreadsheets and ensure data accuracy. Support ERP system usage and process improvements. Identify and report billing discrepancies. Assist with sales commission reporting. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in accounts receivable and transaction processing, including invoicing, cash applications, credit processing, collections, and reconciliation support. Strong experience with ERP systems and maintaining data accuracy. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, as well as proficiency in Word and Outlook. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to manage high-volume requests and prioritize workload effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset. Experience with billing collections and invoice processing. Work Environment The role is based on-site in Branford, CT, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
