Financial Accountant

Now Hiring: Accountant (with Light HR Duties) Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 (Based on Experience) Location: Albany, NY Job Type: Full-Time | On-site Department: Finance & Administration Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage daily financial operations while supporting light HR responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across departments and is comfortable balancing accounting with basic human resource functions such as onboarding and employee records. Key Responsibilities Accounting Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports Handle accounts payable and receivable Support budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis Maintain accurate tracking of revenue, expenses, and vendor payments Assist with tax reporting and external audits Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures Use Zoho for accounting tasks, reporting, and documentation Human Resources (Light) Coordinate new hire onboarding and assist with orientations Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Support payroll-related tasks and reporting Assist with benefits coordination and employee communication Help facilitate internal administrative processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Familiarity with Zoho or similar platforms like QuickBooks Solid Excel skills and financial reporting experience Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills Comfort handling confidential employee and financial information Prior HR exposure is a plus but not required Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Professional development opportunities
