Job Summary:
The Academic Records and Degree Audit Specialist supports the Office of the Registrar overseeing degree audit processes, transfer credit posting, and graduation coordination for undergraduate students. This position is responsible for proactively monitoring student progress toward degree completion, conducting and distributing degree audits, and ensuring the accurate and timely posting of transfer credit and degree conferral.
The role works collaboratively with students, academic advisors, faculty, and campus partners to ensure clear communication of degree requirements and timely progression toward graduation. The position also supports commencement processes and maintains the integrity and accuracy of academic records in alignment with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Degree Audit, Tracking and Student Progress
Proactively monitor and evaluate student progress toward degree completion through comprehensive degree audit processes.
- Graduation, Degree Conferral and Records Management
Ensure accurate verification and posting of degree completion and academic honors
- Commencement Coordination and Diploma Processing
Support the planning and execution of commencement-related processes.
- Transfer Credit Processing and Academic Record Updates
Oversee the accurate posting of transfer credit for all undergraduate students.
- General Registrar's Office Support
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Registrar's Office.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in maintaining academic records
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply academic policies and degree requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and OneDrive
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize student systems and related technologies
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of student academic records
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
