Fractional Controller

Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Fractional Controller/OCFO Advisor to provide part-time financial leadership and oversight. This role supports the accounting team, reviews financial processes, strengthens controls, and drives process improvements while partnering with leadership. This is a hands-on advisory role focused on financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and team development. This role is fully remote, roughly 10 hours per week with flexibility around close cycles.* Active CPA license strongly preferred

• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, CFO, Fractional CFO, or similar senior financial leadership role
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and internal controls
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing accounting staff

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including: Pivot Tables; XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP; Complex formulas; Financial modeling and analysis; Data validation and reporting
• Strong experience with Oracle accounting systems
• Strong experience with QuickBooks
• Ability to analyze large data sets and identify anomalies, trends, and opportunities for improvement
• Experience preparing executive-level financial reports and presentations
