Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements tailored to healthcare entities.
Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle: Oversee accounts receivable, verify insurance claims, track patient payments, and resolve reimbursement discrepancies.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
Budgeting & Cost Reports: Develop operating budgets and prepare detailed cost reports for medical procedures.
General Ledger & Payroll: Maintain accurate records, handle payroll, and manage accounts payable for medical staff and vendors.

Medical Accountant Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications
License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
Experience: 35+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a medical, clinic, or hospital setting.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical accounting software (e.g., Epic, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
