The Role
As a key member of the admin team, this role will utilize a strong understanding of billing procedures to assist with the accurate and timely monthly billing process and special projects as needed. This role will initially begin in office and move to a hybrid environment based out of San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify billing information to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoices
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and issues
- Maintain billing files and documentation while assisting in month-end activities related to billing
- Collaborate with billing manager to ensure billing processes are efficient and effective
- Familiarize self with special arrangements for clients and be a resource to billing professionals on how to best implement arrangements
- Create and update client billing notes
- Communicate effectively with billing professionals and clients to solve problems that arise during or post billing process to ensure bills are delivered timely. Escalate any issues to the Billing Manager, if necessary, clearly articulate the problem and possible solutions
- Actively listen to issues raised by billing professionals and offer suggestions to the Billing Manager on process changes to address the issues
- Assist/collaborate with Collections to resolve billing issues resulting in payment problems
- Create billing schedules and account analyses as requested
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of billing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division and calculating percentages)
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited university
- Prior experience working in public accounting
- Knowledge of CCH billing systems
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Strong ability to grasp processes and procedures, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure

The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
