The Credit Manager (CM) role is responsible for leading and supporting a team of Credit Analysts while ensuring strong credit decisioning and compliance standards. This includes guiding analysts through organizational changes, setting clear performance expectations, and providing ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to drive team success.

- Quickly adapt and lead Credit Analysts through organizational change.
- Provide guidance to Credit Analyst in creating an environment for success.
- Set clear expectations for performance and hold team members accountable for the results.
- Provide timely feedback, training, and coaching to Credit Analysts.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of dealer relationships to ensure set objectives are met.
- Review credit exceptions and determine their approval or denial within established credit authority.
- Ensure that profitability measures and key performance indicators are held to company policies.
- Recommend decisions to RCM on approvals outside of credit authority.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Offer support and training to branch personnel as needed in the credit decision process, negotiating, and interpreting credit policies.
- Collaborate with Sales.

- Advanced expertise in indirect retail auto financing and company credit policies
- Strong knowledge of consumer finance, banking, and retail auto finance industry
- Well-versed in credit, sales, and funding processes, including regulatory requirements and documentation
- Solid understanding of consumer credit laws and underwriting practices
- Effective multitasking in fast-paced environments
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

Work Experience
- 2-3 years supervisory experience Pref
- 3-5 years underwriting experience in the indirect retail auto finance industry and experience with GM Financial Pref
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Associate Degree
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Master's Degree Preferred
