Job Summary
Responsible for supporting the accounting function and helping ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial results. This role will require occasional travel to the Princeton, NJ office.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information with discretion
- Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and related analyses
- Support the timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Analyze monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, including preparation of flux analyses
- Assist in developing and improving accounting and reporting processes to support new business activities as the company grows
- Provide support and documentation for internal and external audit requests
- Participate in the maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) accounting and disclosure controls and best practices
- Perform special accounting projects and ad-hoc analyses
