We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our growing Commercial practice in our Newtown Square, PA office. This individual plays a key leadership role in managing complex tax engagements for middle-market commercial businesses across diverse industries. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing compliance, and providing strategic planning.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and manage tax engagements for S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs across a variety of industries (manufacturing, distribution, real estate, professional services, etc.).
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to clients.
  • Oversee, review, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of complex federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Advise clients on entity structure, business transactions, and other strategic tax matters.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop tax professionals at various levels within the practice.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant and informed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.
  • Active CPA license or EA certification required.
  • MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on commercial or middle-market business clients.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate, partnership, and multistate taxation.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA).
  • Knowledge of CCH Access is required.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor team members.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with executive presence.
  • Performing, documenting, summarizing, and reviewing research conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and contribute to firm growth.
  • Must be able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
