Shift: Monday-Friday (Day)

Salary Range: $24.04– $33.65 per hour (good-faith estimate upon hire)

Additional Compensation:

This position includes employees to be considered for annual performance-based salary increases; eligibility and amounts are determined by individual performance and business needs.

Total Compensation:

In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for performance-based salary increases. Final compensation will be based on skills experience, and internal equity.

About the Role

Oak Valley Community Bank is looking for a detail-driven Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is a solid fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping things organized in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties
  • Reconcile daily bank statements to the general ledger
  • Monitor cash balances and flag funding needs
  • Record and maintain general ledger entries (AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, income/expense allocations)
  • Prepare supporting documentation and work papers
  • Review GL accounts and identify discrepancies
  • Pull and format financial reports
  • Support CDARS/ICS program processing
  • Update loan rate indices and maintain internal systems
  • Assist with required reporting (FR2900, collateral pledging, etc.)
  • Back up accounts payable: invoice review, coding, data entry, and payments
  • Help track fixed assets and prepaid expenses in line with GAAP
  • Support corporate credit card reconciliation and expense reporting
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience (or equivalent mix of education and experience)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
