Jr. Accountant

Junior Accountant-Beverly, MA / Permanent/Direct Hire / Salary: 65K-75K
Summary/Objective
We are looking for a Junior accounting professional with interest in general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Inventory review/audit) cost and manufacturing. Proven analytical and communication skills. Works independently as well as in a team setting, will communicate with various departments within the company.

Accounting:

Assist in multiple phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and closing process
Assist with reconciling and preparing journal entries for month end and year end process
Assist on the accounts receivable side with customer inquiries.
Help maintain balance sheet, P&L, and departmental support
Assist with inventory reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation through performing cycle count audits
Identifies improvements for internal processes and controls.
Assist with preparation of schedules for mid-year and year end audits
Ad hoc analyses and projects, as needed.
Required Competencies

Understanding of ERP manufacturing system
Advanced Microsoft Office skills strong in Excel.
Excellent communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills required.
Ability to interface with members of other departments and corporate staff.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Advanced degree and/or related certification a plus
