Position Summary:

We're seeking a Lease Accounting Consultant to support a high-impact process transformation initiative. This role will focus on documenting current-state processes, driving stakeholder alignment, and building the narrative and roadmap toward end-to-end automation. This is a highly visible, stakeholder-facing role that requires strong communication, process mapping, and storytelling skills to help guide transformation efforts from concept through execution.

Essential Duties:

Document current-state accounting and finance processes across end-to-end workflows.

Develop process documentation, playbooks, and transformation artifacts.

Create executive-ready presentations and decks to support transformation storytelling.

Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and actionable improvements.

Drive alignment and buy-in across cross-functional teams.

Define future-state processes, including system and data flow integration.

Build milestone-driven roadmaps and step-by-step implementation plans.

Support the design of future-state lease accounting processes that improve scalability, controls, reporting, and compliance with ASC 842 requirements.

Map how upstream processes integrate into accounting systems (including SAP).

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of ASC 842 lease accounting, including both finance leases and operating leases.

Experience supporting lease accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, technical accounting assessments, or lease process transformation initiatives.

Ability to analyze and document lease accounting workflows from source data through financial reporting and disclosure requirements.

Experience collaborating with accounting, finance, and systems stakeholders to improve lease accounting processes and controls.

Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $55 65.
