Job Title: Full Charge Non-Profit Bookkeeper
Overview: This position oversees all financial aspects of the Organization including:
Record all checks and electronic donations in SalesForce and Quick Books
Pay bills and invoices to assure timely payment-maintain expenses per functional expense allocation with program/class tracking
Reconcile bank statements, manage cash flow .
Reconcile credit card statements
Using Paychex prepare semi-monthly payroll
Process new hires and maintain PTO/vacation schedules
File routine administrative and regulatory documents
Prepare quarterly reports for Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings. (Budget/Actual, P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow forecast)
Prepare for yearly audit and assist outside CPA with filing of 990
Work with CEO to prepare annual organizational budget draft for Board approval
Assist the organization as needed on special projects including event support by performing registration and check-out functions.
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-orientated organization.
Qualifications and skills:
Experience: 3-5 years nonprofit accounting experience
Software Proficiency: QuickBooks, SalesForce, Microsoft Office Suite
Skills: High attention to detail, strong organization and understanding of GAAP principles
Position is part time (20-25hrs.) in our Santa Barbara offices- with generous PTO, Employer paid health, vision and dental plans & retirement benefits.
Compensation: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 DOE
