Corporate Accountant

Our client is looking for a Corporate Accountant for a 12-month opportunity

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for full cycle accounting and transactions, GL coding, month end close processes, account reconciliations, and support for year-end audit. This is a hands-on role, responsible for accounting transactions for a portfolio of divisions within the Corporate U.S Group and working with other accounting professionals within the Corporate North America Accounting Team.
The accountant will work directly with other divisional accountants, Accounting Manager Corporate North America and other Corporate Departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial:

• Complete the Month/Quarter/Year End Close process and account reconciliations in a timely manner with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Create journal entries with accurate coding of GL accounts and cost centers.
• Reconcile all balance sheet and key income statement accounts.
• Complete data loads for financial consolidation to OneStream for actuals and forecast/budgets.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas of improvement for transaction level processing within the department.
• Perform complex GL postings and reconciliations to ensure accuracy on financial reporting and to identify and correct any unusual items.

Areas of Complex Accounting:

• Assist in preparing entries for the groups investments and financing operations such as external investments, revaluations/adjustments.
• Assist in tasks and ad hoc projects when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA or close to designation
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience with full cycle accounting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERPs, SAP S4Hanna, HFM or One Stream would be highly preferred.

Pay Rate
$40.00 / Hour
