Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Accounts Payable Specialist with our client located in Woodinville, Washington.
Job Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle AP Management: Execute the end-to-end accounts payable process, including high-volume entry of both PO and non-PO invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
The ideal candidate will utilize critical thinking and advanced problem solving skills to addressplex questions as they arise, demonstrating a proactive willingness to research and reference past transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency in processes.
International AP Operations: Manage relationships with suppliers from different countries, accurately processing invoices and payments in multiple currencies.
Payment Strategy: Prepare and perform weekly payment runs
Audit & Compliance: Verify coding, approvals, and vendor setup. Maintain rigorous W-9 records and lead the annual 1099 reporting process.
Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolveplex invoice discrepancies and 'blocked' payments by partnering with procurement and external vendors.
Vendor Relations: Reconcile vendor statements and correspond with vendors to respond to inquiries and resolve billing issues.
Month-End Close: Support the Accounting Manager with month-end reporting, AP accruals, and annual audit preparation.
Ad Hoc Support: Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as necessary to support the finance team.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Accounting degree highly preferred.
Technical Expertise: Direct experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP is required. Proficiency in navigating subledger accounting and GL distributions within this platform is essential.
Industry Background: Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume AP settingspecifically within the technology or manufacturing sectors.
Attention to Detail: Absolutemitment to accuracy; must have a proven track record of catching coding errors and maintaining clean financial data.
Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, specifically regarding prepaid expenses and the three-way match (PO/Receipt/Invoice).
Professionalism: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbalmunication skills for effective vendor management and cross-departmental coordination.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines during month-end or audit cycles.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounts payable management. General accounting experience is a plus.
