Who we are Well established union plumbing, heating and cooling contractor seeks Controller to oversee all aspects of financial reporting. Founded in 1916, we are a 4th generation family owned and operated business working for general contractors, facility owners and homeowners in the SF Bay Area. Responsibilities This position reports to the President/CEO and Vice Presidents, and is responsible for managing the daily financial accounting and reporting of the company. Manage all accounting including billing and collections, AR, AP, GL, job cost, union and non-union payroll and cash management. Manage an office/accounting staff of three (3) individuals. Preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements with supporting documentation. Manage cash flow including customer collections, payroll, and vendor payments Manage all tax filings including federal, state, payroll, sales, and property. Manage quarterly company budgeting reports and meetings. Maintain relationships with bank, CPA, insurance/bonding companies and outside audits. Manage company 401K plan. Manage all customer pre-qualification requirements. Manage all company insurance policies and claims for both liability and workers comp. Experience in Vista/Viewpoint construction accounting software along with monthly and year end Work in Process (WIP) is a must! Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Min 5 years experience in the construction industry. Accounting software knowledge of Vista/Viewpoint. Must be a team player able to work in a close-knit fast paced office environment.
