Job Posting: Accounting Assistant (Part-Time) Position: Accounting Assistant Status: Part-Time (50% FTE, 20 hours/week) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Location: On-site (San Leandro, CA) Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE Job Summary VACCEB is seeking a precise and reliable Accounting Assistant to join our finance team on-site in San Leandro. In this role, you will manage front-line clerical and operational fiscal taskssuch as records retention, initial procurement validation, cash handling, and timecard auditingto support strong internal financial controls. Key Responsibilities Records Retention: Maintain and archive digital and physical financial files for all organizational programs and events to ensure quick retrieval. Procurement Support: Verify submitted supply requests for accuracy and product links, place orders, and handle the physical receipt, inspection, and distribution of goods. Cash & Deposits: Safely process incoming/outgoing cash transactions, compile required supporting paperwork, and execute timely bank deposits. Inventory Tracking: Upkeep comprehensive logs tracking organizational assets and distributed staff supplies. Timecard Auditing: Serve as the primary auditor of employee time and attendance data within ADP (verifying hours and leave tracking). Qualifications Education: Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required. Prior experience in financial record-keeping, clerical duties, or basic bookkeeping is a plus. Strong data entry skills with an uncompromising eye for detail and accuracy.
