LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with a strong bookkeeping background to join their client in Charlotte, NC. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting job costing, and ensuring smooth billing and cash flow processes across service and project work.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, full-cycle bookkeeping role within a fast-paced, service-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain all daily financial transactions, including sales, expenses, receipts, and payments
- Manage general ledger activity and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and sub-ledgers on a regular basis
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audit and reporting purposes
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and manage timely payments
- Generate customer invoices for service calls, maintenance agreements, and installation jobs
- Track outstanding receivables and follow up on collections to support cash flow
- Resolve billing discrepancies with customers and vendors
- Track job-related costs including labor, materials, and equipment to ensure accurate job profitability
- Assist with allocating expenses to specific service tickets and installation projects
- Support maintenance contract billing and revenue tracking
- Monitor inventory and parts usage for accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience (construction, or service-based industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Excel
- Familiarity with AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Compensation and Schedule:
- $60,000 - $70,000
- Fully onsite; 7AM - 4PM, Monday - Friday
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
