Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Charlotte, NC Pay: $65000 - $70000 / Year ($31-33/ hour equivalent) Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization in the manufacturing and distribution space to identify a Staff Accountant for their growing accounting team. This is a fully onsite opportunity offering exposure to a variety of accounting functions within a collaborative environment. Job Description: The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close activities, and contribute to financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives in a hands-on accounting position. Key Responsibilities: Assist with monthly and annual close processes Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data for accuracy Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related functions Track fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Help improve accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial needs Create reports and assist with special accounting projects as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred Manufacturing or distribution industry experience strongly preferred Experience working within ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus Advanced Excel skills preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively within a team environment Dependable, proactive, and self-motivated professional Additional Details: Fully onsite position in Charlotte, NC Standard business hours with some flexibility available Business casual office environment Opportunity to join a collaborative and stable accounting team Perks: Competitive compensation Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement Broad exposure across accounting functions Team-oriented workplace culture Work closely with accounting and finance leadership Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
