We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in audit and review engagements, preparation of tax returns, and preparation of financial statements. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public accounting and grow within the firm. Key Responsibilities: Assist in audit and assurance engagements, including fieldwork, testing, and report preparation Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures Maintain organized workpapers and ensure proper documentation of audit and review findings Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (Federal and State) Perform account reconciliations and general ledger analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Support clients with bookkeeping, payroll processing, and other accounting services Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve issues Support senior staff and partners with special projects and research tasks as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic tax principles Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g. QuickBooks) Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits Paid time off and holidays Health insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 401(k) with employer match Continuing professional education (CPE) CPA exam support.
