Sales Tax Accountant - Accounting/ Finance

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Tax Accountant. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with state and local sales tax regulations and requires a strong background in accounting and finance.

• Accounting degree
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Mandatory experience with sales tax
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Familiar with Oracle
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

• Experience with high-volume transactional data entry
• Ability to research and resolve tax notices
• Experience in developing and managing compliance and reporting calendars

• Process and format large multi-entity sales tax data sets to meet state requirements
• File state and local sales tax returns through state and city websites
• Create schedules and assign work to team members
• Assist with property tax filings and maintain business license schedules
• Assist in preparing year-end schedules
