Accounts Payable Specialist

We are partnering with a growing company in the Montebello area that is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Review, enter, and process vendor invoices accurately and within deadlines
Handle daily accounts payable activities including invoice matching, coding, and payment processing
Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure accounts remain accurate
Assist with expense report processing and monthly corporate card reconciliations
Support freight invoice processing for carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL
Prepare electronic payment files and assist with weekly payment runs
Maintain vendor records including W-9 documentation and payment details
Ensure compliance with company procedures and accounting policies
Identify process improvements to help streamline AP operations and increase efficiency
Provide support to the accounting team on additional projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role
Understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, and general accounting practices
Experience handling high-volume invoice processing with strong accuracy
Familiarity with general ledger coding and expense allocations
Comfortable using Excel and accounting software systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve invoice issues
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
