Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract-to-Hire

We are partnering with a growing company in the Montebello area that is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, enter, and process vendor invoices accurately and within deadlines

  • Handle daily accounts payable activities including invoice matching, coding, and payment processing

  • Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure accounts remain accurate

  • Assist with expense report processing and monthly corporate card reconciliations

  • Support freight invoice processing for carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL

  • Prepare electronic payment files and assist with weekly payment runs

  • Maintain vendor records including W-9 documentation and payment details

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and accounting policies

  • Identify process improvements to help streamline AP operations and increase efficiency

  • Provide support to the accounting team on additional projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role

  • Understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, and general accounting practices

  • Experience handling high-volume invoice processing with strong accuracy

  • Familiarity with general ledger coding and expense allocations

  • Comfortable using Excel and accounting software systems

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve invoice issues

  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
