Position Summary
The Accounting Manager plays a key role within the Finance department for our client in the Entertainment and Performing Arts Industry. This position serves as the subject matter expert on all financial aspects of ticketing and venue operations across multiple entities, partners, customers, and clients.
The role is responsible for maintaining general ledger integrity, performing detailed account reconciliations, and delivering financial analysis related to venue operations. Additionally, this position contributes to process improvement initiatives, helping to align and enhance systems across the combined organization.
Essential Functions
Record and reconcile ticketing-related activity across the various business entities
Analyze transactions related to:
Performance and event sales
Deferred revenue
Gift certificates
Client liabilities and receivables
Intercompany activity
Fees and other revenue
Ensure all transactions are accurately categorized by account, event, and project
Prepare and review monthly close journal entries and general ledger activity
Develop financial models to support complex account reconciliations and clarify month-end balances
Document processes and procedures related to CRM (Tessitura) and accounting systems (Momentus, Blackbaud)
Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights and tools that support organizational goals
Perform ad hoc financial analyses for senior leadership decision-making
Prepare audit workpapers and support annual financial audits and reporting requirements
Assist with special projects tied to organizational alignment across entities
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience in a complex environment

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication across departments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Compensation and Benefits
- Between $90k to $110k
