Now hiring Accountant Location: Bastrop, LA Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 AM-5 PM Bring Your A-Game. Experienced Accountant Needed. This Accountant role in Bastrop is for someone who understands the full picture, not just A/R and A/P. You track the details, close things out, and keep the numbers accurate. What's Required Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred). 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm. Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). Strong knowledge of MS Excel and basic financial principles. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. What You'll Do Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and journals. Assist in posting transactions to appropriate accounts in accounting software. Reconcile bank statements and client accounts accurately. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist with tax preparation and filing during tax season. Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents. Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
