Our client, a growing and highly reputable organization in Nassau County, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Nassau County, NY (Hybrid Schedule) = In Office 2 days a week, Remote 3 days (M/W/F). Must live commutable to Nassau County, Long Island
9:00am-5:30pm shift
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for supporting full-cycle AP functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume invoices in an accurate and timely manner
Three-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt) and ensure proper coding
Manage weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues
Qualifications
3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice matching, and payment cycles
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct experience is a strong plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
