LHH is partnering with a reputable company in the Seattle, WA area to search for a temporary Accounting Manager. This individual will be handling all the accounting functions and be reviewing the work for two contributors. This position will help support the team during a time of transition. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of progressive accounting experience and previous experience managing a team. Also, there are a few different software systems that will be utilized in this role so you must be technically proficient and able to navigate between software platforms with ease. This position is fully in office and is anticipated to last at least three months.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, reporting, and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements; coordinate with external tax advisors
- Oversee audits (internal and external), including preparation of schedules and audit support documentation
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and workflows for efficiency and scalability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Ten or more years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Proven ability to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Expertise in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to leadership and non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment preferred
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
Pay Details: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour
