JOB SUMMARY

The Accountant III Accounts Payable Projects & Assets will support our growing finance team. This newly created role will focus on assisting with capital projects, fixed asset accounting, and accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to grow within a dynamic accounting environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

Assist in tracking and accounting for capital projects, including budget monitoring and cost allocations.

Support the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in reconciling vendor statements.

Preparing journal entries.

Assist with month-end close activities related to assets and payables.

Coordinate with project managers and vendors to resolve invoice issues.

Support audit requests and provide documentation for internal and external auditors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, business, and/or related field with 2 years experience in accounting or related area, preferably in the healthcare industry

OR

Minimum of Associates Degree in accounting, finance, business, and/or related field with 5 years experience in accounting or related area, preferably in the healthcare industry

OR

High School/GED with 8 years experience in accounting or related area, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems gained through coursework

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams

Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
