Interim Sr. Accounting Manager

Interim Senior Accounting Manager Our client, a rapidly growing organization, is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Manager to support accounting operations during a leadership transition. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2 days/week in San Francisco, CA. This engagement has a duration of 2-3 months. Responsibilities: Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Support day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data Partner with leadership to support a smooth transition within the accounting function Provide operational continuity during the onboarding of new leadership Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows Support multi-entity and consolidation accounting activities as needed Maintain and improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational stakeholders Identify opportunities for automation, scalability, and efficiency improvements Ensure clear documentation and communication throughout the transition Requirements: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in Accounting Manager, Senior Accounting Manager, or similar roles Strong month?end close and financial reporting experience Experience working in multi-entity or consolidation environments preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in fast-moving environments Consulting mindset with willingness to be hands-on and flexible CPA and/or public accounting background preferred Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual's skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
