This position is responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services for Liberty's growing manufacturing arm, with duties ranging from traditional accounting and reporting functions to inventory and cost accounting tasks, and with a premium placed on flexibility and adaptability given LAET's growing footprint and strategic importance to Liberty as a whole. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. 2-5 years' accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, SEC reporting requirements, and manufacturing accounting concepts. Experience with high-end ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred but not required. Advanced Excel proficiency and experience analyzing large, complex, interrelated data. Results-oriented focus with proven track record of meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks. Collaborative and energetic mindset, with a passion to learn, solve problems, grow professionally, and continually improve processes. Experience or aptitude in building, reviewing, and improving reports and analyses. Ability to prepare and present financial and accounting information to a wide range of cross-functional groups in a way that is impactful and easy to understand. Occasional overnight travel to other Liberty locations required (for example, to the LAET plant in Magnolia, TX, or the company HQ in Denver, CO), usually no more than one or two trips a quarter for 1-3 days each. Ensure all reporting aligns with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies. Prepare reports and analyses to inform Operations on cost trends and variances to plan or prior periods, and to support the preparation of annual budgets and mid-year forecasts. Regularly work with Finance teammates and operational counterparts to solve problems, improve processes, meet deadlines, and complete projects with a collaborative and team-first focus. Partner with Operations to create, maintain, and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead, and ensure BOM accuracy. Track and explain production variances (variable costs per unit, labor efficiency, department spending). Provide supporting detail and other requested data for external or (3rd party) internal auditors. Analyze inventory trends and levels to ensure accuracy, optimize Days on Hand (DOH), and reduce excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory. Maintain complete and accurate records for periodic statutory fixed asset audits.
