Location: Onsite, Fairfield, OH Travel: No Department: Finance Reports to: Regional Director / Global Finance Controller Type: Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the company's accounting operations and financial reporting processes. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires strong analytical abilities, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and journal entries Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends General Ledger Management Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Ensure accuracy of accounting transactions and classifications Review and verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries Monitor accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets Compliance & Audit Support Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies Support internal and external audit activities Assist with tax filings, VAT/GST reporting, and regulatory submissions Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and controls Assist in implementing process automation and ERP enhancements Support development and documentation of accounting policies Collaboration & Support Work closely with finance leadership and operational departments Provide financial analysis and reporting support to management Mentor junior accounting staff when applicable Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA, CMA, ACCA, or progress toward certification preferred 3-5+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Preferred Skills Experience in [industry-specific sector] Knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP standards Experience with budgeting and financial analysis Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Key Competencies Financial accuracy and attention to detail Analytical thinking Time management and organization Integrity and accountability Communication and teamwork Continuous improvement mindset What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional growth and development Collaborative and supportive work environment Flexible working arrangements Training and certification support Company DescriptionAt Liftra, we design, engineer, manufacture and deliver tailor-made solutions for special lifting and transportation tasks and turnkey equipment for select turbine models.
