Construction Project Accountant

We are looking for a Construction Project Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Location : In office (Layton, UT)

• Track costs on jobs from start to completion and maintain accurate costing records
• Performs monthly job costing reconciliations
• Assist Project Managers with monthly billings to clients and billings from subcontractors
• Assure thorough and timely billing of a project
• Perform job costing audits looking for coding errors
• Perform the ERP from Procore to QB
• Collections on all projects
• Maintain job folders for payments to subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain payment tracker and review with PMs and Owner Assistant when project draws are received
• Review and update changes in Procore with subcontractors/work with PE
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable with owner monthly
• Maintain and review general accounts for accuracy
• Continue to revise and update QB coding to assure coding is accurate

• Previous experience in construction accounting is preferred but not required
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
