Payroll Tax Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Tax Analyst for our client in Pepper Pike. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing insights through financial analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll systems, and financial reporting to support the overall financial health of the organization. Position Details: Salary: $60,000-$75,000 Direct Hire Opportunity Onsite Position Responsibilities: Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings (reconcile Payroll System to data to be imported into tax filing software) Manage payments of payroll taxes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) Prepare and complete quarterly and annual tax filings Federal, State, Local (multi-state) Reconcile payroll taxes to the general ledger and book journal entries Reconcile payroll reports to 941s, W-2s and 1099s Researching, tracking, and responding to tax notices Assist clients with registrations Prepare tax amendments when necessary Special projects and research Payroll reconciliations to the general ledger Research and reconciliation of payroll taxes from prior periods Gather and report requested data to internal and external clients Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience with payroll tax filings and compliance issues Strong accounting skills, detail oriented, proficient in Excel and the full suite of Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, etc.) Proficient with Mastertax Software Must be able to create reconciliations that clearly communicate results Experience reconciling and preparing W-2 forms Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, co-workers, and clients Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance If you feel you meet the above qualifications, please apply for immediate consideration.
