Senior Accountant Hybrid - Broker Dealer

Kforce's client, an Industry Innovator/Disruptor in the Financial Services Industry, is adding Senior Accountant to their team.

In this role your duties will include:Broker dealer accounting for equites, commodities and swaps:

• Prepare financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, clearing accounts, trading activity, and customer balances
• Accounting for Intercompany transactions and expense allocations
• Business Partner with operations, compliance, and treasury
• Improve reporting workflows and strengthen documentation
• Regulatory reporting for SEC 15c
• Net capital compliance and Reserve calculations (PAB)
• Legal Entity Reporting; Sub-ledger and legal entity reporting and support FCM (Futures Commission Merchant) or SBSD (Security-Based Swap Dealer) entities
• Compliance with FINRA, SEC, CFTC, NFA, audits and exams
• Focus Reporting* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of institutional trading, brokerage, clearing industry experience (broker-dealer accounting experience)
• Series 27 license highly preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong hands-on experience with SEC Rules 15c3-1 and 15c3-
• Experience preparing and reviewing schedules for FOCUS Reports
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite
• Experience with FCM (Futures Commission Merchant) or SBSD (Security-Based Swap Dealer) entities
• Experience with segregation, secured amount, or swap dealer capital calculations
• Experience in multi-entity financial services environments
• CPA preferred
