Job SummaryAs an Experienced Accountant at BPMI, you will work under limited supervision and perform moderately complex critical business functions to execute the BPMI mission in areas including, but not limited to general ledger maintenance, fixed asset administration, timekeeping administration, billing administration, accounts receivable, rate maintenance, benefits accounting and corporate financial reporting.
Essential Duties:- Perform all aspects of Accounting with limited oversight.
- Perform routine to moderately complex critical business functions to support company operations in areas including but not limited to: timekeeping administration, billing administration, fixed asset administration, rate maintenance, general ledger maintenance, benefits accounting.
- Maintain ledgers, reconcile accounts, prepare statements and reports, and analyze information and data with limited oversight.
- Respond to routine to moderately complex inquiries from internal and external (Bechtel, Audit Agencies, Government Customer) stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of federal and state regulations that impact BPMI and update policies and procedures as needed to reflect changing requirements.
- Ensure accounting practices under purview are executed according to disclosure accounting practices.
- Support internal and external audits by various agencies including Defense Contractors Auditing Agency (DCAA) with limited oversight.
- Participate in or lead department or company-wide initiatives for process improvements, operational effectiveness, and system upgrades.
- Propose long-or short-term business objectives to be included in future business plans as related to accounting operations.

- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
- Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
- Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
- Previous experience working in corporate accounting, government accounting, public accounting, or internal audit.
- Familiarity with US Government regulations including FAR and DFARS or previous work experience with government contracts.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment by multi tasking while still providing significant attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
