Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core corporate accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with process optimization and special projects in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Own key components of the month-end and quarter-end close, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across balance sheet and income statement accounts. Prepare account reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial reporting support, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting. Support external audit activities by preparing requested documentation and coordinating with auditors. Maintain and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support consistency and compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across accounting workflows. Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to improve recurring transaction processes and reporting accuracy. Assist with recurring financial processes such as commission calculations, expense reporting, and operational reporting support. Participate in special projects and support broader finance initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Public accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Experience preparing journal entries, variance analyses, and supporting financial reporting required. Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP or accounting systems preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and improve processes. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
