Senior General Accountant

Our client is sourcing for a Senior General Accountant for 6-month assignment to permanent

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs full-cycle accounting work involving any, or all of, the following:

• Prepare and maintain the month end, quarter end and year end closing entries and account reconciliations for various global entities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management/departmental reports as required
• Assist in the external and internal audit process and annual tax returns
• Prepare/oversee various monthly filings including HST, regulatory and other business compliance filings
• Liaison with other departments across the company to ensure timely and accurate financial results
• Continuously improve operational and financial accounting processes and challenge status quo
• Support the finance team on various ad-hoc projects

• Mandarin speaking
• CPA/CGA/CA Designation or nearing completion
• 4+ years of progressive experience in a similar role (industry or public practice)
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
• Experience in working in a Global multi-entity environment is an asset
• Experience with either SAP or Navision is a MUST HAVE
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, abilitty to work independently with minimal direction
• Self starter with ability to take ownership
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and detailed

Pay Rate
$45.00 / Hour
