Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant Landscape Company located in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced bookkeeper. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. Must have proficiency in Quickbooks software and a solid understanding of financial management principles. There will be some HR and administrative tasks included with this position as listed below. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable processes including but not limited to reviewing and inputting all invoices received, verifying accuracy, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping, performing banking related functions Weekly payroll using Paychex Keep Accounts receivable and Accounts payable current Tracking of all payments and expenditures, including credit card transactions, invoices and statements etc. Annual NYSIF and insurance audits Reconciling processed payments through verification of entries and other supporting documents to balances Analyze General Ledger by confirming balances in all accounts Assist with special projects, contributing to process improvements and best practices Assist in the preparation of annual business budget and analyze variances Prepare and manage certified payroll reporting when necessary Assist TPA with 401k administration State, federal taxes, FUTA/SUTA payroll taxes and filing and reporting same and prepare reports for CPA. Timely filing of monthly NYS sales tax payments Review AR report weekly with management Prepare AIA billing spreadsheets as needed. HR and Administrative duties: Maintain employee records, including new hire on boarding and tracking individuals Paid Time Off. Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees, including providing information on company policies, benefits and procedures Manage property/client insurances and issue COI's Manage sub contractor COI's Learn and help implement new landscape management software and tools Manage fleet registrations, annual regulatory fees and other MV related administration Pay parking violations and dispute tickets Skills and Requirements 3+ years Bookkeeping experience required Proficient in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis Strong knowledge of financial management practices and public accounting standards Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Strong financial acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with team members Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively Salary 75K Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 50% Health insurance stipend 401(k) matching after 1 year of employment Paid time off Paid holidays Part time work from home Laptop provided
