Senior Accountant Location: Savannah, GA (Hybrid Office + Remote) Firm Type: Public Accounting / CPA Firm Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 4+ Years Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with 4+ years of public accounting experience to join our team. The Senior Accountant will manage client engagements, prepare and review financial statements and tax returns, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and serve as a key point of contact for clients. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step toward management in a CPA firm. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries Ensure compliance with GAAP and firm accounting standards Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120) Conduct tax research and support tax planning strategies Serve as a primary client contact and communicate financial results Manage multiple engagements and deadlines Review staff work and provide feedback Assist in training and mentoring junior staff Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years of public accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience with tax preparation and financial statement review Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications CPA license or CPA candidate Prior experience reviewing staff work Client management experience What We Offer Competitive salary Performance-based bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays CPA exam support and continuing education Career advancement opportunities All applications will be kept confidential.
