Bookkeeper - Construction A stable, dynamic and rapidly growing construction contracting company has an opportunity for you to use your general accounting expertise to contribute to the strategic development of this organization. As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for processing the full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, taxes, customer & vendor invoices, knowledge of construction accounting AIA Billing, Job Costing, Notary Public and other necessary duties assigned by the owner. Experience with QuickBooks Online is Required Ability to work with Annual revenues of at least Ten (10) million dollars Notary Public Certified -Required Essential Functions Ensure that the administrative and data entry functions are completed Complete hands-on responsibility for the bookkeeping functions Processing of AR/AP and collections activities Processing payroll and payroll taxes Responsible for maintaining cash management systems Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations Bank statement reconciliations Maintain accurate job cost coding across projects and cost codes Process vendor bills in accounting system matching to job cost codes. Track insurance certificates, and compliance documentation Assist with preparing monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Assist Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking Preparation of financial reports Responsible for waivers of lien, change orders and cost types Notarize documents Other functions as directed by the owner Essential Qualifications Three (3) plus years of bookkeeping in the construction industry Experience with annual revenues of Ten (10) million dollars or more Verifiable experience with QuickBooks Online is required Notary Public certification is required Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to apply regulations and guidelines Verifiable expertise with Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel) is required Familiarity with Union pay, prevailing wage, and certified payroll Experience collaborating with CPAs Experience with progressive billing, AIA Experience with bank, financial statements and reconciliations Experience with administrative and clerical duties Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field We are a growing, family-oriented entrepreneurial organization and small enough so that you will be recognized for the contributions you make.
