Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in a banking environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Part of a team that processes bi-weekly payroll, including time and attendance verification
  • Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records in compliance with internal controls
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide excellent service
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare reports for Finance, HR, and audits
  • Assist with deductions, garnishments, tax filings, and year-end processing (W-2s)

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
