Kforce's client, an Alternative Energy startup (Series B) headquartered in Hoboken NJ, is seeking its first in-house Accounting Senior Manager/Assistant Controller. This is a company that is sponsored by a world class, prominent VC that has a strong +30-year track record. The company itself has a strong track record of growth and profitability. The CFO is world class and a great mentor to work for. This is a position created by both growth and the completion of a massive funding round. So, this is the rare startup that can offer you both stability and growth. Over the next few years, they will need you to bring accounting and reporting in-house. You will lead this effort and put your stamp on the accounting department and this company.
Duties will include:
- Month end close
- General ledger
- Account analysis and reconciliation
- Budget and variance analysis
- Management of treasury
- Support audits
- Improve accounting processes by taking automation to next level
- Financial reporting
- Financial statement preparation* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Master's degree a plus
- CPA a plus
- Over 6 years of experience
- Experience, as an accountant or an auditor, with the Alternative Energy, Solar, and/or Wind Industries
- Experience as a Manager
- Multi entity accounting experience a plus
- Cost accounting a plus
