Accounting Manager

Lyonis Management is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial operations for a commercial real estate portfolio throughout Utah. This role is responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and maintaining accurate property-level financial records.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, proficiency in Yardi, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment. This position works closely with the property management team and ownership groups to support accurate reporting and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting packages
  • Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and financial records
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Support CAM reconciliations and operating expense reconciliations
  • Coordinate with property managers, ownership groups, vendors, and accountants
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and reporting deadlines
  • Utilize Yardi for accounting, reporting, and property management functions
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required
  • Commercial real estate or property management accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Yardi is required
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with reconciliations, budgeting, and financial statement preparation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
