We are partnering with a fantastic organization in Smyrna, GA, to identify a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to build a strong foundation while gaining hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including payment processing and collections
Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed
Prepare and assist with check runs and vendor payments
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1-2 years of recent accounting experience required; internships will be considered
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
Preferred:
Exposure to month-end close processes and reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms is a plus
Pay Details: $27.00 to $28.00 per hour
