LHH is partnering with a client in the Columbus area to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This position will provide coverage for a medical leave and is expected to last 4-5 months, with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can quickly step in to support ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Analyze financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain general ledger integrity and support day-to-day accounting operations
Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
Support audit requests and ensure proper documentation of processes and controls
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
Pay Details: $36.00 to $42.00 per hour
